A gas thermal oil heater is an industrial heating system that uses natural gas or other gaseous fuels to heat a special heat transfer fluid, commonly called thermal oil. Unlike traditional steam or hot water boilers, this system transfers heat indirectly through the circulating thermal oil, allowing high-temperature heating without generating high-pressure steam. The heater typically consists of a combustion chamber where gas is burned, and a coil or heat exchanger through which the thermal oil flows. As the oil circulates through the heated coils, it absorbs energy efficiently due to its high thermal stability and low vapor pressure. The oil transfers heat without undergoing a phase change, allowing operation at temperatures often exceeding 300°C while maintaining low system pressure. Advanced designs include automated temperature controls, insulation to minimize heat loss, and safety devices like pressure relief valves.
